Is 4gb of memory Overkill?

If you're planning to run Windows, keep contained by mind that the 32-bit version of Windows with the sole purpose supports up to 3GB of RAM, and then solitary with a switch within the boot.ini. You'll need the 64-bit journal of the OS to take profit of all 4GB of RAM.

I'd walk with 2-3GB of RAM and a better video card.
self say 2 see is enuf , even one is good but ego go beside 2 gig, ull prolly spend alot more for four gigs
Go on 2 GB first, it is ample...do an upgrade later, if you're not delighted and really want to spend.
First of all you want to check your motherboards limitations. Just because your board may puff it supports 4 GB's doesn't mean it will. Check the instruction book for speed reductions (I.E. reducing from PC3200 to PC2700) and OS restrictions. 2 GB's is more than satisfactory though.
2GB is probably enough. Put the money into a super-duper graphics card instead.
