Memory(RAM)Setup?

Check it out, my motherboard holds up to 4 RAM slots. Right in a minute 2 are being used Slot 1 holding 512MB of memory, Slot 2 holding 512MB both totalling up to 1GB of memory.OK, now I want to buy 2 x 1GB sticks giving me a maximum of 3GB total of RAM. Is this setup moral? I also want to keep the dual subway setup i have right presently with my dual core processor computer. What type of RAM do I own to buy? Do they have to be alike speed and brand?

Memory(RAM)Setup?

May I suggest going to Crucial.com, and download their memory calculator. This will give you adjectives the info you need, and you don't even hold to buy from them!
Don't! Never add a RAM near different memory Capacities. Conflict and thermal problems(Over heating ultimately system of the mother board) will occur. Since you hold x2 512mb RAM just buy another x2 512mb RAM = 2 Gig RAM for adjectives 4 RAMs or you could buy x4 1GB RAM heheheheh ^_^.

You could add any RAM Brand and speed but its better if you put together RAMS beside the same speed so they can run at indistinguishable high speed approaching each other coz if you put 1 RAM beside lower speed and another one with complex speed well the one next to higher speed RAM next to run with speed of the lower speed RAM (Not esteemed for putting same brand of RAMs)

This is my advice basically be careful.
The usual setup for dual waterway ram usually puts equal sticks of ram surrounded by slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4. you must have very sticks of ram from impossible to tell apart maufacturer and the same lot. You can mix speeds as long as as the 1-3, 2-4 slots enjoy the matched pieces of ram, but adjectives the ram will be fixed to the lowest speed installed.
