Is repartitioning Windows Vista safe and sound right now?

I own heard some folks say that after partitioning Windows Vista,it wouldn't boot up anymore and needed a verbs install.

It depends on what you use to do the partitioning. If you use the disk management tool within Vista, it should be fine. Other third-party software (Partition Magic) may damage the barrier.
