Is in that a big difference between an Athlon 64x2 3800 processor beside a 4600?
It really depends on what you're doing. You're conversation about a difference of more or less 400mhz. For most everyday, this won't even be noticeable. If you're a high-end gamer, or running abundantly of processor-intense applications (not to be confused with RAM-intensive, or graphics-intensive), next you may notice a difference. Both processor are multi-cored unit running over the 2.0ghz mark, and they're both plenty powerful. If you're trying to build a superfast electrical device, and money isn't an object, later go for the 4600. I believe the price difference is just about $30. If you can find more RAM, or a better graphics card with that $30, I would suggest that instead.
