You can use any keyboard/mouse, wired, or wireless, with your laptop that works on a desktop PC.

You might own to find some better drivers that do not conflict with other hardware on your computer. Go to the manufacturer's website and download the manufacturer-specific drivers for the wireless keyboard/mouse.
You want to elaborate.

What is keeping you from using it on your laptop?

Your laptop should hold a PS/2 port for the keyboard, and a USB port for the mouse.
There is no intention you should not be able to use these on a desktop. It may be that you plugged the addressee into the same port as your printer. Some manufacture put the same port contained by front as they did in the backside. Most do provide mult. usb ports so verify that you don't have the printer and your chain less device surrounded by the same port. As long as you PC have a usb port then the wireless devices should work on your laptop.
