Installing RAM into laptop...how to know for sure you didnt impair it?

I freshly installed 2gb of ram into my laptop. I used an anti-static wrist guard when I installed it. I also took out the freestyle before I installed the RAM. However, I accidentally touched division of the middle of one of the RAM chips before I installed it.

After I installed it the computer booted up fine and the computer recozgnized the memory. My put somebody through the mill is how would I know if I damaged the chip by shocking it or touching the middle and wounding it? If it boots up and the computer recognizes it does that be going to its defintely okay?

I am just a bit paranoid because Ive never installed RAM beforehand and want to be sure I did it right.

you know if it is damaged if it aint working.

dont verbs if you touched it. I carry push in my pay for pocket sometimes :))
If your PC started up fine and recognized the topical memory. you're fine

* If you didnt do it right, it wouldn't have started or see the new memory.
if you turn the laptop on and it boots up fine, i wouldn't verbs about it.
as long as it's booting up and recognize the memory you should be straiaaaiaight.
If you touched the Ram / Silicon chip on the RAM with a wrist strap after you will more than likely be fine. If the memory be damaged consequently you will start noticing lockups/freezes almost right now.

I applaud you for actually using a wrist strap for installing RAM :p

I didn't even know they made those things anymore :)

I presume that you will be fine.
