Is installing a graphics card contained by an iMac difficult?

I'm a symbolic design student and I'm going to purchase an iMac soon. It comes with an ATI Radeon X1600 graphics card next to only 128mb memory but I want at most minuscule 256mb.

Small rant:

I think the Apple site is crap because you own to spend more on things you dont need to certainly choose what you want. What do I mean? Well, Apple does enjoy the GeForce graphics cards with 256mb and 512mb but it if truth be told lets you select a graphics card for yourself when you attain the 24 display and 250gb hard drive!

I'm sorry Apple, but I'm a poor student that doesnt need/cant AFFORD adjectives that right now but I would similar to to upgrade my graphics card! Why not give me the choice to do that?

Sorry, I had to shift off approaching that.. by the way, are near any other sites where I'd know how to purchase an iMac that allows me to upgrade exactly what I need? Thanks for any give a hand.

Because Mac like to use proprietary graphics slots, your upgrade option are very predetermined, so unless you want to buy a Mac Pro for $2500 and get the Quadro 4500 beside it, then you won't enjoy a very apposite platform for designing graphics.

For similarly overpriced rubbish try http://alienware.com
