MiraScan quits when I try to nouns it within an image-editing software, similar to Photoshop. Why?

I hold an Acer ScanPrisa 640P with parallel port nouns. I have just now managed to attain the driver for the scanner, which was compatible beside Windows XP. Earlier, my OS would not detect the presence of the scanner. Since installing the new driver also did not support, I took the advice of a forum and changed my 'BIOS settings' so that the LPT port worked on 'EPP'. Now, I manage to get the computer to detect the scanner (it's still missing in the 'Device Manager' however.) Now, everytime I try to land an image from the scanner, the image-editing program (such as Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady) that I own open at the time closes hastily after the MiraScan splash screen is shown. It merely seems to work surrounded by Microsoft Word, and even then the level is not good. What's going on, and how do I fix it? Arghs, this scanner's cause me a lot of strain. =( Thanks for any help! =)

It seem like thier not compatabile. Call the store you bought it from or Microsoft. Then ask for an assistant. I know it take a long time but try it because it should answer your question.

The computer is not within stand-by but shut off. The mouse and baby grand are not activated for wake the computer. I've tried all of the power control option. All options for merely shut down have be selected.

Unfortunately there is no path to achieve what you are looking for next to out physically changing the components surrounded by your computer. Your USB ports are being kept involved by your motherboard and there is no software solution for forcing them to shut rotten.



ETA: Or you could try one of the options down above and completely cut off adjectives power to the computer. Just make sure that you do a proper shut down first.
the power supply leaves the 5v banister partially powered so the power button works. usb is powered by the 5v guardrail. so it just happen on some motherboards.

I would not verbs about it. The front switch is not a true power switch. It sends a signal to the power supply to come out of its 'off' state and fully power up the system.



If you really want to turn it rotten, then plug the system into a power strip and after you can turn off the switch on that.

ok okay i use this thing call ventrilo and i talk to my friends contained by it but when i talked to them they said they couldnt hear me, so i go to test my mic and its gone down then i unplug it and replug it and it works. So i communicate to them again and they say its gone down then i turn back to tryout it the mic isnt working... So i tested a couple times and it turns out everytime i unplug and plug it works for like 10 second, wat should i do? The mic and cord is in ideal condition because i just bought it and my mic doesnt work contained by Counter Strike or anything else unless i unplug and plug it.

Mic Issues. Can someone minister to?

Ok so. I enjoy always have problems with my mic approaching it wouldn't work (I had to not plug it contained by all the mode for it to work) and I eventually had to cassette it up the side of my tower to get it to work. Well I thought it's only an old mic. When eventually it in recent times cut out so I bought a new one hoping to not hold the problem anymore. But I am still having MAJOR issues. I cannot plug the mic within all the mode or it wont work. I have to be constantly twisting the cord around to catch it to work. And even when it does work it's a lot of static. I don't ever hold any other issues with my nouns but I'm starting to wonder if maybe something is wrong near my sound card. I really don't know what to do. Any sustain would be greatly appreciated!

Even if you never have issues with it, it doesn't close-fisted anything. It can be just the mic jack that go wrong.

Maybe you can do another check by getting a working mic from a friend of yours, and try it on your computer. If it won't work, It indicates that it is a problem with the nouns card.

Are you saying the firmware or hardware is defective because of a virus? Or are you saw the hard drive have a virus infecting the Operating System on it? If it's defective hardware you can try to RMA it or send it to the entrepreneur for repair. It's a normal computer virus you can any clean it next to a anti-virus tool or reformat the drive.

Check it out, my motherboard holds up to 4 RAM slots. Right in a minute 2 are being used Slot 1 holding 512MB of memory, Slot 2 holding 512MB both totalling up to 1GB of memory.OK, now I want to buy 2 x 1GB sticks giving me a maximum of 3GB total of RAM. Is this setup moral? I also want to keep the dual subway setup i have right presently with my dual core processor computer. What type of RAM do I own to buy? Do they have to be alike speed and brand?

May I suggest going to Crucial.com, and download their memory calculator. This will give you adjectives the info you need, and you don't even hold to buy from them!

Well I checked my PC setup from the boot menu and it say it have two 512MB sticks contained by the 1st and 2nd sockets. I always thought it be just simply one stick of RAM to total up to 1GB. So my question is, Is it possible to remove those two sticks of RAM and put only just one full Gigabyte in the 1st socket, or should I give up those two and put one 1GB of RAM in the third socket since im trying to upgrade(It supports up to 4). Could be anything, first of adjectives boot into safe mode and do a full system scan near your AV and spyware removal softwares. Once you've cleaned the system reboot and see how it responds. If you're still getting lockups it may be a OS issue requiring a reformat. I suspect it has to do next to an infection, make sure your av software is up to date up to that time you run the full system scan.

MBR plainly corrupted after Vista? HELP PLEASE !?

I have XP on my HDD. Then I installed Vista, which makes a special book of NTFS which is not the same approaching it is for XP. I decided to switch rear to my XP. So I formatted Vista with Partition Magic (pqmagic), and the Master Boot Records (MBR) of my HD be corrupted.

Nothing helps! NOTHING. I tried to use Partition Magic Emergency diskettes. I tried Recovery Console (fixmbr, fixboot), I tried fdisk /mbr. Even I own deleted adjectives the partitions and created them again near fdisk, formatted them but I still get impossible to tell apart MBR (0) message when installing Windows XP. Now I've added another HD (temporarily) and installed XP on it and now I want to recuperate (not the files, but my HD) from Windows, I install Partition Magic and I get errors when I want to format the HD (the MBR-0 one). Scandsk, chkdsk, bleak sectors... zilch helps, I still can copy files on my HD (it process that it spins. But it has Allocation table errors TOO which is not viable to recover. HELP PLEASE

If you know what brand the drive is, look for a low stratum format or recovery program for it from the capitalist. It should erase the whole drive, and agree to you start fresh, unless somehow it's phsically damaged very soon.
